Astro Bot - 9/10 GS, 94 MC + Digital Foundry verdict!

My body is simply ready for this game!! I'm going with a 9/10 (90MC) for this game. What about you, SW? What is your hype/score prediction for Astro Bot?

I think it will be high quality and well reviewed. I think it is releasing at a time where the industry needs a game like this. People need to be reminded of what a good and fun game is. Something that is not poisoned by microtransactions, live service garbage, and woke agendas. I hope it sells well so we get back to our roots of making good games first and foremost.

Imo! Not every title needs to be 200 hours worth of cutscenes that makes me question my own existence and developed by 300 developers for 10 years! Sometimes we a game just needs to be fun!

Same. At first, I didn't know it was coming to PC at a later date. I would have gladly got this on PS5 but I can spare the time for the PC port. Plus, I'm still playing more games at this time. I'm just glad a game like Astro Bot is bringing back what makes Sony awesome in the first place. SP platform gaming experience.

Yeah, it looks good. Maybe not a system seller, but something gamers would actually want. Maybe 8/10 at least, but most likely a 9/10. 90MC.

The previous installment on the PS5 wasn't long or had any kind of depth but it was fun. The Sony callbacks were enjoyable. I don't doubt it will be fun, but I want it to be more than just a longer version of its predecessor.

Looks really good. The platformer genre needs more love. I'm happy Sony are going back to what they were once great at. Nintendo will always be the king of platformers, but this new Astrobot is looking like it will give them a run for their money.

I would love to buy on launch but need to finish Wukong first. Which has been quite the challenge lol

Looks about as good as Super Mario Oddysey. Going to hype it AAAA

If there’s ever any chance of Sony making a Nintendo-quality game, it’s from these developers.

Preordered based on 100% record of enjoying previous games and everyone else in the house wants it. I'm more interested in hearing others predict the score, but as a fan of previous games and thinking Nintendo would be jealous, it would be difficult for me not to give a prediction of 10/10

Yeah, this looks awesome. I hope they don't wait too long for the PC port. If I were a betting man, it predict an 8, but I hope it scores a bunch of 9's and 10's, and sells millions. The industry needs to move back toward making more games like this, really for their own sake.

see developers don't need to push agenda or political beliefs on gamers to make a great game. this is the type of game gamers need today.

Ummmm Okami is a chore to get through in the beginning.....so much dialogue. I remember people saying this but after BOTW Im not sure Okami is the best Zelda game anymore.

What is your opinion on the game length at $60-70?

I ask because I remember the threads on Avowed where you guys (not necessarily you) were upset about it being about 20hrs for main quest.

Does that rule apply here?

It's not $70... so I'm almost tempted to buy it... going to wait til atleast black friday.

Bummed that we'll never see a proper follow up to the PSVR game though.
